Sunday, November 8
Immersive one-day event features top medical and beauty experts, live demonstrations, restorative wellness experiences, complimentary products and services, and an awards luncheon
Make time for you. The Herald Health, Beauty & Wellness Experience + Awards comes to the Heritage Club at Bethpage in Farmingdale on Sunday, November 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The day offers Long Islanders an immersive, hands-on experience with the region’s leading physicians, aesthetic providers, beauty experts and wellness professionals.
Produced by RichnerLIVE, a division of Herald Community Media, the Experience is designed to be lived, not just attended. Guests will see the latest innovations in aesthetics up close through live demonstrations, ask questions directly of the experts performing them and try new products and treatments for themselves. The day also offers opportunities to slow down, recharge and explore different approaches to well-being through meditation, sound healing, spiritual guidance and stress-reduction practices.
An all-day expo adds complimentary products and services from participating providers and brands, along with interactive activations, shopping, networking, luxury beauty moments, and raffles and prizes.
“This is the first time Long Island has ever seen anything like it. We’re bringing nationally recognized experts, the island’s top doctors and leading beauty and wellness brands together in one place, for one day. It’s immersive, it’s hands-on, and it’s truly can’t-miss,” said Amy Amato, executive director of RichnerLIVE.
Krista Bennett DeMaio, founder of Pretty Local LI and founder and editor-in-chief of LI Beauty Scene, and Mae Caime, RN, co-founder of Diamonds and Pearls Alliance, will co-host the program. Stephanie McNally, MD, FACOG, FACS, MSCP, medical director of the Katz Institute for Women’s Health, will deliver the keynote.
Program highlights include:
Plastic Surgery, Unfiltered:
John Layliev, MD, FACS, double board-certified plastic surgeon at Layliev Plastic Surgery, joins DeMaio for a candid conversation. Topics include body and facial treatments after GLP-1 weight loss, “mommy makeovers,” and how today’s aesthetic treatments can affect future surgical outcomes.
Women’s Health: Your Next Chapter:
A panel on what women should be watching, questioning and doing differently in midlife. It covers whether hormone replacement therapy makes sense, changing risks for heart disease, bone loss and cognitive health, and the often-overlooked roles of muscle, sleep and mental health. Panelists include Helen Hsieh, MD, FACOG, founder and medical director of Vibrance 360; pelvic floor therapist Theodora Berry; and Catherine Canadeo, CEO of Health & Wellness Corp.
The Beauty Lab: What’s New, What Works, What’s Worth It:
As new treatments, devices and ingredients promise to change how we care for skin and hair and how we age, this panel separates real innovation from clever marketing. Panelists are Brian Underwood, beauty and grooming director of Women’s Health and Men’s Health magazines; Ina LaRocca-Tocco, MSN, FNP-C, founder and nurse practitioner at Liquid Luxury Aesthetics; and Stephen T. Greenberg, MD, FACS, founder and plastic surgeon at Greenberg Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology.
Stress to Vitality: A Sound Bath Experience:
Guests will have two opportunities to pause, reset and recharge with Constance Korol, founder of the Meta 180 Method™. The two 25-minute sound bath sessions will combine the resonant tones of the gong, crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls and other soothing instruments for an immersive meditation experience centered on relaxation, nervous system regulation and holistic well-being. Mats will be provided, chairs will be available, and each participant will receive a complimentary lavender heated eye mask. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited.
Spiritual Guidance with Psychic Medium Angela LoRosa:
Guests will also have the opportunity to connect with psychic medium and spiritual healer Angela LoRosa. An Occupational Therapist, certified Reiki practitioner and Craniosacral Therapist, LoRosa brings together her lifelong spiritual gifts and professional healing background to offer an experience centered on connection, reflection and personal well-being. Her approach is rooted in helping others find greater peace, purpose and positivity along their personal journeys.
The Holiday Style Edit:
In a breakout session, personal stylists Brenda Gonzalez, founder and president of Styled by B, and Danielle Muscarella of Styled by Danielle share how to build a holiday capsule wardrobe.
Kelly Tallaksen, PhD, founder of Hearts In Harmony Hypnosis, opens the program with a warm-up session on resetting the stress response. Freda Borukhov, PA-C, founder and aesthetic injector of MediFreda Aesthetics, will lead a featured power session.
From expert-led conversations and beauty demonstrations to sound healing, meditation and spiritual experiences, the event invites guests to explore wellness from every angle while discovering new ways to look, feel and live their best.
